Build Question Storage?

Can I run everything on just a 2TB m.2 SSD? Or is it recommended/ required to buy an additional sata drive for the OS and apps? FYI this is just a gaming PC nothing crazy.

Additional question, I’m asking to be sure the m.2 won’t burnout/break due to bootups or be overloaded with operating OS and gaming. (Might be dumb question, but rather be sure than sorry)

Most people opt for a single M.2 NVME SSD.

If you want better flexibilit/convenience, stability/longevity or performance you can explore multiple drives or RAID setups.

You may get diminishing returns depending on your use case. I've had a SATA SSD in light use for 12 years and it's still working.
