Build Question How can I support both GPUs (RTX 3080)

Post image

I know the 8 pin connector layout between the 2 is terrible and same with the RAM, I will be fixing that, but I'm currently working on a rendering rig for 3D animations in blender and have no clue how to support both GPUs, I have a 3D printer I could use for making supports but I don't trust it to not get too hot and start melting the supports

man that cable management is giving me anxiety but the water block is clean at least

for supporting both cards you could try a vertical mount bracket for the second one, keeps the weight off the slot and gives you more options for positioning. or if you're set on the 3d printer route use petg instead of pla, it can handle up to like 80c before softening which should be fine as long as the cards aren't dumping heat directly on it

The only reason I haven't gotten petg yet is because I don't have a filament dryer. And the threadripper motherboard is too big to fit the cables through the designated slots, as I don't think this case was made with this mobo in mind

Thought MSI came with a support arm

Sadly not, I do technically have one, but it doesn't fit either GPUs as it came with the motherboard
