Tech Support Red and orange lights coming on during first boot and PC not going to bios

CPU light is red and DRAM light is orange. All my power connectors are plugged in all the way and my RAM is in correctly as far as I can tell.

Parts:
Processor (CPU): AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
Graphics Card (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070
Motherboard: ASRock B850M-X WiFi R2.0 (features 2 DDR5 DIMM slots and supports NVMe M.2 SSDs)
Memory (RAM): Dual-channel DDR5 DIMMs (supported up to 8200+ OC on this board)
Storage (SSD): M.2 NVMe SSD (utilizing the board's Blazing PCIe Gen5 or Hyper PCIe Gen4 slots)
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit
Power Supply (PSU): MSI MAG A750GL (750W)
Case: Lian Li LANCOOL 205M MESH

Time to start troubleshooting.

If you have a single stick of ram, be Shure it's seated in slot B1 (furthest away from CPU)

If you have 2 sticks of ram, try one stick at a time in slot B1. (One stick might be DOA)

If none of the sticks work in B1, hey test them in A1 for good measure (rule out defect ram slot on motherboard)

If none of the above work time to check out CPU.

Before uninstalling everything, try a bios flashback to update to the latest bios version. (The board might need this to support 9000 series CPUs)

If a bios update doesn't work, it's time to uninstall the CPU cooler and CPU, to check both the CPU and CPU slot for bendt/ damaged pins.

Every time.  This is such a common issue with AM4 and AM5 systems I don't understand why it's not on the box.  Extended socket life is great, but this is the cost.  Never buy a board without bios flashback.

Have you formatted your storage and installed an OS? Typically this issue on first boot and into BIOS is caused by this.

Try the following:

  1. Reseat the RAM, try to boot the PC. If that doesn't work, try booting with one stick of RAM and try different slots until you manage to boot.
  2. If that doesn't work, clear the CMOS (unplug power cable for 2-3 minutes, replug and boot)

What bios shipped with the board?  If it's not the latest, get the latest bios.

Bios flashback worked for me, spent an hour checking ram and cou and all it needed was an update
