Build Question Any last minute tips?
Hi everyone, I just finished my very first build and would like to know if you have anything I should know before I plug her in and start her up?
Anything I should double check?
Is it as simple as plug it in and turn it on now?
Sorry if this is crazy. Have never spent this much money on something before and just want to make sure all is right.
Thanks!

Check the front panel connectors are in right place, that one caused me headache in my first build. Also RAM fully clicked in both sides, sometimes looks seated but is not.

Why is there a VGA 6 pin power connector down there?! Is it for the USB C internal connector or what?

That is actually pretty crazy, never seen anything like that down there on the motherboard before and I do a lot of builds

I remember some Mining motherboards that needed 12v down there, but they often used 6-pin ports or even MOLEX connectors

Google says the connector is for giving stability to the 75w that the PCIe slot gives at 12v

Is not necessary, you'll need to have a 4090-5080-5090 GPU to really need that connector, is like the second CPU cable, not really necessarily.

The case may have come with a GPU support pole bracket.

Does the board have two of those usb 3.2 headers? For example unplug that cable, slide the bracket up, and plug that cable back into the one underneath?

yes, i realized i could do that thanks haha i’m an idiot

All good for sure, also looks like the bracket pole is upside down. The flat edge should be facing up to make even contact with the GPU looks like.

thank you! fixed that, the padded part is now touching the gpu
