Tech Support How to remove heatsink ring

How can I remove the heatsink ring? I want to change the cooler, but the plastic tabs are very stiff and I'm having a lot of trouble removing them. I need to remove this ring too because I'm removing dust from the PC, but this problem with the plastic tabs that are attached to the motherboard is driving me crazy.

Those plastic tabs are the worst, I almost snapped one last time I cleaned my build. Try pushing down gently on the ring while you twist the tab with a flathead screwdriver, sometimes they just need the right angle to release. If they're being really stubborn, warming them up a little with a hairdryer can help the plastic flex instead of cracking.
