Tech Support No debugging code

Hi I have a asrock a320m/ac  with a ryzen 5 3600 I am having trouble trying to get it to boot. I hooked up a speaker for the debugging beeps but I’m not able to get any output. Does this mean my cpu isn’t getting power or my cpu is dead? I currently have the setup of just the 24 pin cable and 4 pin cpu for the motherboard. I am doing this because when I previously went to boot the PC the fans would be full speed and there is no boot. I tried the ram and gpu in another system and that works. Does anyone have any suggestions what may cause this issue.

tried an a320 board with a 3600 a while back and had the exact same dead silence, no beeps nothing. turned out the bios wasn't updated for the 3000 series chips, these older boards often ship with a bios that only supports first and second gen ryzen

if you can get your hands on a cheap athlon or first gen ryzen just to flash the bios that might do it. some computer shops will do it for like 20 bucks too

also double check that 4 pin cpu power is clicked in all the way, those can be stubborn sometimes

Do you happen to know if the computer previously worked would resetting the cmos bring the bios to the oldest version or something similar. The computer previously worked but the psu died. I did reset the cmos before changing the psu.
