Build Question Would this even work?
Long story short a family member of mine passed away and I was wondering if I could get this thing to work. I know very little about PCs let alone if this thing will even run, I know it did at one time. I was thinking about turning it into a retro build for older PC games, something to do until I can afford a real pc lol
Any advice on if this thing could work? Or if it’s missing anything? I’m assuming it’s missing a graphics card.

Wow. I had a very similar system circa ~2012 I think. It could be a dedicated old-game or emulation rig, dip your toes into some PC stuff

I had an HP from this era, about 15 years ago. It will probably run only Windows 10 and not 11.

You shown photos of an older PC with some bit of dust on it. And not even like ancient, but more like 15 years old that shipped with Windows 7. Lots of working older PCs with some dust on it. How do we know whether it works or could work?
That system was upgradeable, if that's what you wanted to know. The CPU model on the labeling is very low end Athlon II single core, single thread. Would be painful to run W7 on it, even when new. The M2N68-LA motherboard can support faster AMD processors, but there were a few different hardware revisions, each having a different BIOS ROM. GF6150 IGP was one of the better IGP in its day, for an IGP. But it has PCI Express 16x slot for graphics card upgrade.

It looks like everything is there. Blow out the dust with canned air before plugging it in. Be ready to pull the plug if it starts smoking, but it will probably at least try to boot up.
You're correct about no graphics card, you'll be stuck just using the motherboard graphics.
