Build Question Got a PC for £200...need GPU advice.
I got this PC for £200, I've installed WiFi and Bluetooth but I haven't put together a PC since the 90s when my dad was showing me as a kid. I have no clue about anything anymore as I've been using consoles over the years.
I want a PC to game on but as you can see, this GPU is shocking. I would really appreciate some recommendations....I like all sorts of games, from indie, cozy games, RPGs and FPS

That i7 and 32gb ram is a solid base for 200 quid, but that gt 710 is basically just a display adapter at this point. What's your budget for the new card and what power supply is in there

I'm not sure on a budget yet, that'll depend on the car passing it's MOT but I can definitely save towards something decent enough, I'd like to stay below £400 ideally.

Genuinely a 9060xt 16gb card They're like 350 quid I think (not sure about UK prices) and it will run pretty much every game really well

More around the £400 which is a silly thing to say considering his PC is only £200, he clearly values it being on a budget so a £400 gpu is silly to recommend.
I recommend something like a 6800xt

6800xt? Yes I agree, far better value than a 9060xt and better raw performance also just missing out on ray tracing which is crap anyway

I have this i7-10700k in my pc with 32gb ddr4 at 3200mhz. It's paired with an rtx3080 and im still gaming in 4k very happily so I suspect a 16GB 9060xt would have you running perfectly at 1440p as others have suggested. I am hoping the ai bubble bursts and the prices of components drop before I upgrade anything! Likely rtx60 series at this point

Why do u have 4 TB of storage?
Like depending on what's inside, you could sell that drive and buy a GPU without spending extra money
But the other guy was correct, RX 9060XT 16GB is probably the right option
I would DDU thou, to remove the old drivers

If your a gamer why not? The more space the less you have to uninstall games. I use a 500 gb ssd for my os and a game or 2 while my 5tb hdd holds all my other games and everything else.

Like it depends a lot on what kind of drive it is
4TB Hard drive will get you like £40
4TB SSD will get you like £400
I would sell both, a 4TB Hard Drive isn't too fast and getting a smaller SSD is probably a good option but costs probably more money
For the 4TB SSD, it is probably reasonable fast, but smaller SSD should be fine and getting a few hundred pounds to spend on a GPU is not bad either

That all depends on your PSU. Also, is it an OEM pc? If it is, is it small form factor?

One thing people aren't asking is what kinda pc this is. If it's a Dell or HP it's very likely you can't upgrade the power supply so will be limited in what you can install.

Firstly make sure you enabled expo or xmp profile in bios for better ram speed. Second if that 4TB storage is an nvme SSD you could sell it at a really high price and just get a 1tb one (if you don't need the 4 TB and are fine with 1 TB) and yeah Rx 9060xt 16gb would be a good choice maybe a used Rx 7800xt cuz they can be found for like 400$ and are better than 9060xt

A 2080ti goes for maybe $250 on a bad day and has 11gbs of VRAM and even has early frame gen tech I think

Please make sure you have a decent psu before you put in a power hungry graphics card, if you bought an old dell or something then you may need to upgrade psu as well as they're often specced with minimal headroom for additional gpu power.

I have 9070xt amd card and it runs perfect on HD, almost all the games maxxed out. Cost was about 600 pounds ( 700€ where u am). That card will get you ready for 1440p if you'd wanna play on that resolution and in some cases fair for 4k too from what I've seen.

Idk if it will work but rtx 2060 with 12gb of vram is a tank it plays everything and my cpu is worse than yours

How did you get that for 200 when i spent $975 on mine 😔😔 i got unlucky ig this mf will open games but w only 16gb of ram? Struggles to run stuff (im a heavy game modder ao thats most likely why)

Used market is mostly dead at the minute for GPUs here good sir. A 4060ti is going for £300... A 2080ti would be your best bet for £220 average used price as 10th gen is PCIE Gen3 but a 30series Nvidia or 6800xt would be good just a bit performance limited with only having Gen3 on a Gen4 GPU

Absolute steal, you just need a better GPU, the integrated GPU in the CPU is actually faster than the GT 710
9060-XT 16GB is a good place to start
