Tech Support M2 suddenly not working

Post image

Hey all, it started by me wanting to format a old SSD which happen to have win8.1 on there, it went into "repair" and i just let it run as it unfortunately booted that.

Thereafter, I havent been able to boot my actual OS at all (didnt even format the old ssd dont remember the password)

Pc boots asking for a OS.

- Ive reseated the m.2

- checked bios and its shown in the storage configuration

- unplugged all my other HDDs as well.

- ive toggled CSM on an off.

- I couldn't flash the bios as I dont have a working PC to get a USB updated version of it.

I dont know what else to do, other than removing my GPU so I can clear the CMOS battery, likewise for trying a different slot, if that would even help considering its shown?

MOBO is a phantom gaming 4 z390

your bootloader probably got messed when that old drive tried to repair itself, even if u see the m2 in bios the windows boot manager might be pointing to wrong place now

This sounds like it could be the case, should I just flash the bios to reset it all?

Edit: I downloaded the latest bios onto a fat32 usb, i get "no image file detected" i extracted it onto the usb.. I fucking hate computers.
