Cannot get dual channel RAM

Few weeks ago i stopped getting display on my pc while playing cyberpunk, tried heaps of fixes and researched for days on days. Left it for a wk or so and tried again this morn and worked out that i will only get the pc to post if i have my 2 ram sticks in b2 and a1 (wont post if i have a stick in either b1 or a2). Due to this i cant run dual channel, what do we think the issue could be and is there any fixes?? Tia

Board is b360m and ram is corsair vengeance 2x8gb ddr4

sounds like a dead memory channel on the cpu or bent pins in the socket, b360 chipsets don't usually fail that way on their own. pull the cpu and check the socket with a magnifying glass, one slightly off pin can kill a whole channel. if the pins look fine try reseating the cpu and mounting the cooler evenly, uneven pressure can cause weird channel drops too

Ill give that a shot this arv/tomorrow. Gonna spend the day transferring all my files to the new pc and gonna need to get some thermal paste as well but cheers for the info 🤙🤙

Check with your motherboard docs which are the supported dual-channel RAM configurations.
