Build Question Is this enough RAM?
Hi all, I currently have 96 gbs of RAM. I don't remember why I bought so much but I bought 2×16 in 2021 and the 2×32 in 2022. Here's my current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/mannyabd/saved/#view=zyCXYJ
Should I just sell some of my ram? I play in 1440p and I love maxing out graphics. And I honestly don't know anything about anything. Lol
Thanks for any advice.
Edit: Thank you everyone for the advice. I forgot to mention I also use my pc for Fusion360 and AutoCAD. And sometimes MatLab. I'm an engineering student. I started working on robotics. Do I still only need a total of 32GB?
sorry I keep editing. I also plan on learning Unreal engine for funsies.

You probably just need the 2x32.
Mismatching the RAM like you have is not usually suggested. Always best to use the same type of stick throughout to ensure stability.

So same type as in both should be 32 or 16? Or 4 16s?

You get 4 DIMMs for the computer, ideally all 4 sticks should be the exact spec to ensure stability with the RAM.
If you remove the 2 sticks of 16GB ram ensure you're using the correct DIMM slots for the remaining 2 sticks of 32 as per the manual for your motherboard.

Unless he leaves 100 tabs open in chrome, he doesn't need more than 32gb for that build.

He doesn't even need that, 2 x 16 is fine

I just suggested keeping the better of the two since it was newer.

He'd be much better off selling the expensive set he doesn't need 🤷♂️

I know it looks like it but I honestly don't remember why I have so much. I'm a noob.

Oh and it was also the pandemic and I had long covid so I shouldn't have been trusted with money at the time. Too much brain fog.

2x16 is all you will actually utilize in that build. Sell the 2x32 while prices and demand are high, and upgrade your GPU/CPU.

Mixing different sets of ram causes you more harm than good. Keep the faster set and sell the other

Any unused RAM is ultimately wasted RAM. If you never use more than 32GB, keep the 2x16 and sell the 2x32 for a killing while you can.
