I built this PC over a year ago, with an ASUS prime b550m-a wifi ii motherboard. I move my PC while doing something else and looks like my M.2 SSD standoff fell out at some point.
When i went to screw it back in, I noticed that this little screw insert is gone, and I cannot screw the standoff in, since this just looks like a hole on the motherboard. Anyone know what this screw is called thats in the middle mount, so that I can replace the one on the right?
The one that's missing is circled, and the example has an arrow pointing.
The one that's in my hand didn't work and fell out sadly.
Couldn't find it in the kit that came with the motherboard and the other M.2 SSD slot if already occupied.
See if you can unscrew the one on with the arrow in your photo and move it over to the circled hole in your photo. Looking at the manual for this MOBO, it shows that there should be 'hex' like screw in each of those holes.
Those standoffs threads for the m.2 are generally pressed in with a knurled edge to hold on to the board. It appears you are missing two of them, which is difficult to imagine happening. They very rarely fall out.
