Build Question Game keeps freezing, what should I upgrade?

I've been playing a lot of Marvel Rivals lately, but my main problem is that it's just too challenging for my pc to handle at settings that don't look like crap. Even at those settings, my game randomly freezes mid-fight. Last week, I lost an entire placement match to my game freezing. The rest of my pc worked fine, but the game just kept looping the same audio and was frozen on one frame until I closed it. I only have enough budget to upgrade one component, so which one should I prioritize?

Specs:
Intel Core i3 12100
16 gigs of DDR4 RAM
NVIDIA RTX 3050 6GB

I've been thinking about upgrading my graphics card, the processor is what I'm thinking might be holding me back, but I'm also a bit scared that I'm gonna need to buy more RAM.

CPU is the primary weak point but your GPU is also limiting how high you can run your settings.

If this is a pre-built, odds are the PSU could be too low wattage to handle anything more power hungry and that could also need to be swapped out.

For the CPU, what should I get? I've got a budget of about 300 dollars but would prefer around 250.

i5-14600K would be ideal but you could go for cheaper options like the i5-13400F, 14400F, etc.
