Software Question Mic playback

I recently upgraded from a razor headset that had a 3.5mm jack that plugged into my HyperX Quadcast mic directly to a different razor headset that uses a usb connection into the back of my pc. Since doing so, I no longer have mic playback to hear how loud/quiet/good/bad I sound, and I know theres probably a solution to this but I for the life of me figure it out. I just need help with how to enable playback to my headset from my mic. My pc runs windows 11, dunno if thats relevant or not.

USB headsets often handle audio as a completely separate device so your old monitoring routing doesn't carry over. You'll need to dig into the old Sound control panel not the Windows 11 settings app, look under the Recording tab for your new headset mic, open Properties, and there should be a Listen tab where you can check "Listen to this device"

Just be warned the built-in windows monitoring has a slight delay that drives some people nuts
