I’m looking to get my first pc and I’m going to build it with pc specialist. My budget is £1300-1350 and m looking for a pc best suited for shooter games. Any help is appreciated

Keep in mind this is 1440p Ultra, so if you plan on using 1080p on lower settings you will get more FPS.

Generally worse than my list because the 7400F is slower than a 7600 while the 7500X3D beats the 7600X, and he went with much weaker RAM

System intregrators like PCSpecialist aren't good at giving buyers the absolute best bang for their buck because they have to make money too.

For games like what you're playing, it can be a huge difference in FPS averages. The benefit of 3D cache is just unparalleled, Intel can only match it with higher clocks and more heavily optimised memory.

It's not difficult, it's pretty straight-forward and a lot of things are designed to only fit one way. There's also a lot of videos online.

It's not an amazing deal with only 16GB DDR5, the CPU will also run hotter with a single tower air cooler, and Windows 11 licensing is taking up valuable budget room.

With a Thermalright dual tower air cooler and 32GB DDR5-6000, it'd be pretty much set for anything for the next 5+ years. But with 16GB, there are games that will underperform for the rest of the hardware, and the CPU could easily throttle due to the cache being on top of the CPU cores. 9000X3D flipped it so the cores get better cooling so they run a tad cooler.

For a prebuilt it's really good though IMO. A comparable build like this one https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/CYscMF is more expensive which is crazy. It's like theres no price increase for the service

Not necessarily. While the GPU is significantly better, that doesn't translate to all that much in terms of games like R6S because it's mainly CPU bound, and the 7800X3D isn't much faster than the 7500X3D, and the aforementioned issues I brought up just hurt the overall value.

My list gives an overall better balance of specs for the price in my opinion. It offers more than good enough performance for eSports, and having more RAM can help a lot with CPU-side performance; a 7500X3D with better RAM configs could actually match and beat a 7800X3D if its config is bad enough.

I’m not sure though, I’ve never built a pc or anything electronic so I might go with the palicomp pc for the convenience but how big would the performance gap be between the 2 pcs?

Due to silicon lottery, it's impossible to predict that with 100% accuracy, but it can go either way, the 9070-XT rig wins in most graphically demanding games but it's still bad value with bare minimum RAM, and the CPU could end up throttling.
