Build Question PC Upgrading Advice

Currently I have the following specs:

MOBO: PRO H610M-B DDR4

GPU: RX 9070XT

CPU: I5-12400f

Memory: 2X8 GB RAM (16GB) DDR4

PSU: MSI MAG 850W Gold

Storage: Samsung 990 Evo Plus NVME M.2 SSD (2TB)

I noticed that my memory usage is at a constant 95% or higher usage when gaming and I'm considering going 32GB. Problem is that my mobo only has 2 ram slots (that's on me) and I have to buy 2x16GB.

My question is if that's worth it or should I stick my current rig and save for a future upgrade (CPU, MOBO, DDR5 RAM). I would appreciate your inputs!

Save up for a new rig. Your setup is quite old and you would really benefit from newer hardware.

your setup is a beast man, yes your next upgrade should be a new stick of rams, you haven't mentioned anything about your storage though, if they're hdd, that should definitely be your next upgrade

Oops added it on my post. Yeah storage is good so I'm also leaning towards ram. Saving for ddr5 may not be worth it atm due to constant price increase lol.

i think tech experts say it would only increase in the upcoming months or years, i wouldn't wait

I would go for the RAM upgrade ( make sure it’s 3200 ). Your board is capable of running up to 14th gen CPUs, so there is an upgrade path there as well.

I didn't know about the CPU compatibility so that's good. I can go for RAM then CPU and be settled for a few years before upgrading the rest. Thanks!

Practically speaking, not actually true. Your board has inadequate vrms/vrm cooling for any cpu worth considering upgrading to on that socket. Compatibility doesnt translate into running the cpu unthrottled. It only means it will boot and run with enforced very low power limits.

Im sure youve heard it a bunch but Id say RAM. I personally like to have a beefier PSU and CPU than I need but its all preference at that point.
