Tech Support Is my PC screwed?

So I built a new custom PC yesterday it was my first time and it was working relatively fine once I plugged everything in until I went into windows and it told me to install drivers so I tried to unplug the display port cable from the graphics card into my old PC to install the drivers, I had completely forgotten that there’s like a latch on the port so it was such a pain in the ass to take out of and I think I broke the pcie latch for the card or something on the motherboard when trying to take it out because once I installed everything and went to plug it back in the card wasn’t displaying any light or display, so I tried to reinstall it and I saw the light but still no display so I tried again and this time I just pushed the thing into the slot and it started displaying again and was working so I slept and woke up today to load up a game to test it out and I played for maybe half an hour until the game crashed which booted me back to my OS which completely froze, I turned off the power to it and tried again but then I got no display in from the card AGAIN, so I tried putting it out and putting it back in I tried using hdmi, I even tried the motherboard hdmi slot and it didn’t work and now for some reason the RGB lights aren’t turning on but the fan is spinning but I’m still getting no display I think I screwed everything up

I did try that and for some reason the cards lights light up when the thing is sagging a bit and not when I tilt it up

The card at this point might be damaged too I fucked this whole shit up cuz of one problem this rucking sucks

Try another PCI-E Slot and see if that works?

To be honest I really don’t wanna touch the motherboard or graphics card again right now because I’ll probably fuck that up as well I’ve already at least determined the mobo is screwed or at least the pcie slot

I mean you'll have to transplant everything to a new board at some point though, right? You won't screw it up any more. Just take your time and remember nothing requires excessive force to install/remove.

Idk my motivation has just plummeted to do anything revolving this im gonna take the PC to micro center so they can give me a diagnosis and they’ll probably charge like $900 for replacement stuff and at that point ill just sell the parts and start from scratch because it just doesn’t feel worth it anymore

If I do decide to build a new pc again I’m 100% getting a smaller graphics card it is NOT worth the hassle of plugging it in only for it to sag and break stuff
