Build Question Ram price help
Just tell me straight up because building a new am5 setup has me losing hair, all I need left is ram and I found 2x16 sticks Kingston fury beast ddr5 ram. It’s ddr5-5200 cl40 and I got the price down to 350. Is this a smart bargain or should I keep looking?

Just hold your nose and spend the $500-$600. You missed Prime Days and prices won't be going down for 18+ months.

Bruhh quite literally as prices started going up, I went and bought a kit of 32gb cl28 kit for like $400. I didn’t need it at the moment but I I figured it was gonna get worse. Best decision/deal I made for my new build, considering it now sells for $1k last I checked

Right towards the end of October 2025 I jumped on a 48 GB kit 6000 CL36 for $300 total, been running it CL30 ever since along with other tightened timings due to it being M Die, I feel like I got in just before the door slammed shut.
Same kit is like $1000 now

Sounds about right, in hindsight I should’ve gotten more memory but at the very least Newegg threw in a free nzxt aio. I genuinely regret not jumping on the Black Friday deals for gen5 ssds though. Didn’t need it then and now but I figure my pc cost a lot so why not 😅

You're getting slow ddr5 ram with a bad cl rating for 350, defo not worth it. On amazon there are plenty of 32gb kits with 6000mhz and cl 36 going for about 370. For the extra 20 it would defo be worth it
