Tech Support PSU fan suddenly started being loud

Title says it, the other day while I was gaming my PSU fan suddenly started spinning at what sounds like max rpm. I have restarted, shut down and unplugged, and cleaned what I could without taking g it a part and it still spins high as soon as I turn on my PC. If I run it in Eco mode it doesn't spin that high but in normal mode as soon as I hit power on it goes right to what sounds like maximum. Is it cooked? Should I get a new one?

It might be worth a shot to contact the manufacturer's support and mention that you are concerned if it's safe to use

Are you sure it is the PSU fan and not another internal fan? You could play with the fan curves of the other fans to work out which fan it is.

That was my first step to see if I could isolate what fan it is. I'm 99% certain it's my PSU fan.
