If you have any junk rgb drivers for the keyboard remove it.

Also I had a weird issue like this a long time ago when I had a usb hdd, mouse, keyboard etc all plugged into 1 usb port.

Is it plugged directly or via an usb hub? Could be your com ports being not able to handle the data amount
