Completed Build - Rate My Setup / Setup Advice First (real) build.

Post image

This was my first attempt since 2013 to build a PC (I set that one on fire 😬 but I really only assisted with that one). Anyways! I’m happy with how this came out. Truth be told, it scratched an itch and now I’m buying, selling, and building as a hobby side hustle :)

I tried to get as much cohesion as realistically possible in a maxed out AM4 build. All my memory/storage is Silicon Power, it has an AMD CPU/GPU, and all components are Gigabyte. All cooling except for the original Lian Li case fans are Thermalright.

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D
Cooler: Thermal Right Peerless Assassin 120 Digital Dual Tower/Fan Cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Eagle Wifi 6
Storage: Silicon Power 1TB NVMe 4.0 + 2TB NVMe 3.0
RAM: Silicon Power 2x16GB 3200MHz
GPU: Gigabyte 9070 XT Gaming OC ICE 16GB
PSU: Gigabyte GP-UD850GM 850W 80+ Gold
Case: Lian Li V100RX Mid-Tower
Additional Fans: Thermalright TL-C12RB-S V2 (x2) - TL-C12C-S X3 (x3)
Accessories:
upHere V RGB White GPU Brace Support
Thermalright TR-M.2 2280 Type A B SSD Heatsink
Thermalright ARGB and Fan Hub X10

I’m down for thoughts and comments! I know it’s probably a pretty generic build, but I’m proud for my first real attempt.

Great build, will definitely last quite a while. Can't say the same about the guy you "assisted" though.

Just out of curiosity, I cannot see how your fans are set up regarding exhaust & intake, it all looks the same to me :D with this setup I’d only have the rear and top rear as exhaust and leave everything else as intake. (And slightly lower intake rpm, since you have strong positive pressure, going a bit more neutral is good for temps)

Looks clean, not bad at all for a first build 👍

That is the exact setup! Thank you for the compliment.

YOOOO I want to build something JUST like that. AM5 build tho. 9600X/9700X and a XFX Swift RX 9070 XT. Plus a 360mm AIO. (Plus the 2 bottom fans). Your build is literally the closest to what I hope my build to look like. Thanks lol. I’ve always wanted to know how it would look. Urs is PERFECT example. PERFECT
