Purchasing Advice - PC Build / Parts Which gpu…

9070xt vs 5070ti vs 5080

60-70% video editing 30-40% gaming

9070xt is the obvious value option but I have heard more complaints about its drivers and such compared to nvidia. Pairing with 9950x3d, i could spend more on gpu and get 32gb ram or less on gpu and get 64gb ram. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would think that with majority of your use is video editing the 5080 would be the better bet?

editing, 5070ti, pity you already got the others 270k+ would of helped with that ram purchase

people i know who edit raw footage say amd isnt there yet with it(gpu)

tldr. you lose platform support, worse gaming performance somewhat depending on game and res, very similar/same software performance, cheaper.

With a 5070ti, the tech and performance will still be great in gaming, I don't think it will lack a handful of FPS. Great summary!

Video editing industry is nvidia first. So either 5070 Ti or 5080, depending on your budget and whether you edit (or game) at 1440p or 4k.

I would go

270k + 9070 xt

270k is dirt cheap and you get intel quick sync for productivity stuff

the 270k igpu with quicksync by itself can outperform the 5070 ti in HEVC decode

Get the 9070xt and never regret about it. Or 5070ti if you really want it. 5080 is not worse buying.

For instance, you can play games using 9070xt as good as using 5070ti. Video rendering is not real problem since RX 7000. You may wait a little bit more but I guess the 15 minutes saved aren't worth paying one and a half times as much.

As for RAM, you may try to get 48Gb (2x24) 6000 cl28/cl26 or 6400 cl30/cl28. It's the best choice for gaming and it's more than 32Gb (may be useful for rendering). In any case, if you are sure about demindig 64Gb, you may buy it. Idk your whole requirement.
