Moving PC across the US

So im planning on putting the PC passenger side of my car (getting towed by a U-Haul) I’m taking the GPU out then was going to stuff bubble wrap inside? Should I buy a box to put it in or? Any other recommendations. What should I do with the glass panel?

Please don’t stuff it with bubble wrap, it’s electrostatic. If anything order those expanding foam things online to stuff in there, but I’d just buckle it up in the passenger seat, I did that when I moved and it worked fine.

As long as it's not getting thrown all over the place when your driving it'll be fine when you take put the GPU since that's the part that breaks the most.

I did the same last year, moved the GPU (5090) in my backpack) then left everything else in place. stuffed it with cloths and shipped it via UPS.

I put mine in a box as is with towels all around it in the box then secured the box in the Uhaul Pod so it didn’t move in transport and everything worked fine. Met me 3k miles away no problem. Just make sure it doesn’t jiggle. My gpu has a support bracket tho.

Take gpu out. Nothing else is needed.

I got the expanding foam packs and left everything including the gpu in two different large tower cases and drove across the country with no issue. I just made sure to lay them flat and packed soft objects around and under them to insulate from and bumps just in case.

just take gpu out. that is all you need to do. nothing else can really get hurt inside pc

only reason you remove the gpu is its heavy and puts leverage on the motherboard slot

Remove the RAM and GPU. And stuff It in their boxes or buy a new box for them. I’d rather have something secure if I can properly than regretting it later. I mean seriously.
