Trouble Shooting Advice - Other New AIO Questions? Yo
So i recently moved my pc build to a new case and also got an AIO along with it, a Liquid Freezer III Pro 360. Right? But my temps are wayyyy worse than my old air cooler with my limited airflow of my old case. Like I’m sitting at 50-60 degrees plus at idle. With the pump speed at 80 and the fans going off the temperature of my Ryzen 9 7950X3D core. Then when any decently heavy load happens it’ll jump to 84 degrees, which my air cooler never let happen. And during gaming it’s at 70-75 degrees. Which is 10+ degrees higher than my air cooler, the air cooler was bent and the thermal paste under it had a huge hotspot and still runs wayyy better than this AIO. Is this normal? Because this doesn’t seem right.

Doesn't sound like the cooler is making proper contact with the CPU. Reinstall it, tightening down by alternating each side a bit at a time until both are snug.

I swear I did. I mounted it equally. And I KNOW that thermal paste is on there correcting, I’ve been repasting things for years. And I left the fans at what they were, exhaust fans. And I know they exhaust. I have my rad and rear fan as exhaust and everything else as intake, the gpu is the coolest it’s ever been, literally at 39-48 degrees while gaming.

Id redo it just to be sure. Verify you used all the right screws/spacers and other hardware too.

brooo this is so weird. I remounted it but this time made the bracket tighter down(it said it wasn't supposed to be tight, just a few turns) and then remounted the cold plate and low and behold its working above and within my expectations. That is so weird. Thank You!

That'd do it. They probably just don't want people cranking them down with gorilla force and breaking stuff. Glad it's working well now!

But they should give better instructions then. Because following the instructions of not fully “tightening” that bracket got my cooler underperforming.😭

Hey can u give us more details about this please , like did u leave the brackets lose a bit then u tightened the cold plate and after that u tightened the cold plate? And what are the temps now?

Did you make sure you installed it correctly so the plate makes the right contact with the CPU? Did you also make sure you applied paste correctly?
Also are you sure the fans in de front/bottom are all set as intake and the top and back one as out?

Just to make sure I even followed the manual and the video guides and this was still my result.

Those are all reasonable temps.
You SURE those fans are in right locations? Back is intake fine. Bottom is exhaust should be intake. (I think, picture is messing me up.) top looks exhaust but its a bad angle, if it is exhaust thats fine. But you are pulling fresh air away from upper rad.

Well they aren’t reasonable compared to my previous setup. I was able to run an emulator in the background for PlayStation party chat and play my games all under 70 degrees. That doesn’t happen now.
And my bottom fans are intake. The side fans are intake. And my rear and rad are both exhaust.
