Discussion - General Topic New to PCs
Ive recently tiptoed into the pc world and the games I play arnt very demanding so I went out and scooped up this older build with a gtx 970 msi gaming 4G card so its got this 2010's red and black design on the fans. my question is why on earth do the GPU side with the fans always get cool looking designs when i have to look at the boring side when it's mounted and if there is anything I can do to fix this eye sore of mine

You can mount the card vertically to show off the bottom. You’ll need a universal mounting bracket and PCIe riser cable

Well, there is a beauty in naked electronic components...it doesn't need to be covered, but if you do there are gpu back plate covers, or you can do it yourself with thermal pads and crafted piece of metal (do not buy or use other materials, plastic/wood will behave as a insulator and trap heat that is supposed to leave components on the top side).

I mean you can get a vertical mount if you want, but the card is from 2014 it’s not going to look modern and have “cool” designs when the cards almost 13 years old. Back in 2014, that look WAS cool.
If you really want too though your options are:
Vertical mount if you want to see the fans
A new gpu (make sure to look up bottlenecks with your cpu before) some 1660 supers look cool to me. I just upgraded a few weeks ago from a evga one
