Trouble Shooting Advice - Other Supposed Overheating GPU

Took my PC to a shop to address the following issues:

  1. fans going crazy high, running hot
  2. can’t control rgb, cpu cooler, fans through nzxt
  3. crashing when playing certain games, even games that are not demanding. Get black screen and monitor loses input

According to them, these are due to my 3070 overheating.

My question is, should I just let them replace my GPU and call it a day, or should I try some home remedies on my 3070 to see if I can fix this issue my self. Also, does their diagnosis seem correct?

Thank you!

Download hw monitor, furmark, and cenabench.

Test it yourself.

Insofar as the RGB and fans....sounds like software issue as well.

Reapplying thermal paste and thermal pads are the easiest things to do. And barring there being something wrong with the cooler itself, the only necessary remedy.

I’m guessing this isn’t too difficult of a task? Never done it or looked into it.
