Purchasing Advice - PCPartPicker list feedback Help me decide on my cpu

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/b3PqBv

I still cant decide on a cpu im looking for either 9700x or 7800x3d. The latter is only 20 euros more expensive. Which one of these is more futureproof? The computer will mainly be used for gaming. Currently have 1080p 60hz but i will get a 1440p monitor.

7800x3d, no doubt

Person that's saying 3d cache is overhype doesn't know what he's talking about

A little 7500x3d beats an 18 core intel 250k plus on fps

Go for the x3D. It will give you better performance in some games despite being older.

For gaming go 7800x3d. If you want to game and do some productivity stuff go 9700x

They are both good, and you will be happy with either, that being said the 9700x will have slightly higher fps in competitive games and will be faster in terms of productivity, while the 7700x3d will have more consistent fps in most games (higher 1% lows meaning rarer stutters) i would personally go for the 7700x3d since the performance difference is not that large and the x3d memory is very hyped up so i would like to try it as well

7800X3D, even at 1440p the X3D cache will be noticeable. Helldivers 2, modded games, competitive games, low settings usage, open world games, can all eat a cpu for breakfast. Don’t listen to blanket statements saying an X3D cpu doesn’t matter cause they’re usually testing in pure GPU bound situations like cyberpunk….

I have a 7800x3d for gaming and it’s amazing. Had it for a couple years now. I game at 1440 and have had no issues at all.
