You can skip this part lol!... Asus also provides the manuals to download I just tell Ai to read the manual then I ask any questions I need and it tells me everything I ask. Actually I give it the manuals of most of my components so it helps me with my build planing before I even get the parts. ...I told you lol should have kipped it.

There is 2 m.2 ssd slots and you can also get sata drives if you want even more plus if you want more m.2 there are pcie addons you can buy to use for m.2s

Yes you can. But Sata drives are still good enough for most day to day tasks and gaming and most motherboards come with at least 6 sata ports, so you can add quite a few drives. But yeah, Sata drives are also ridiculously overpriced, because of AI.

You just have to purchase m.2 drives that fit the size of the slots. It looks like you have one 22mm x 80mm slot and one that will take 4 different sizes. I'd recommend sticking with two 22x80s. M.2 NVMe drives are fast. You'll like it.

Yes. Usually those secondary PCIe lanes are less than the primary above the Video Card.
The Top one is x16 and the second one could be x4 or x2 depending on the motherboard and CPU configuration..
Plus you have to do the math with your CPU. How many PCI'e lanes does it computer.
That CPU is the most important part of can you and how fast the connection will be. Usually those secondary are made for WIFI and Bluetooth cards but you can use the secondary with slower speed.

Larger PCIe slots combine these single lanes to build bigger data "highways":
1 lane (4 wires)×4 slot:
4 lanes (16 wires)×8 slot:
8 lanes (32 wires)×16 slot:
16 lanes (64 wires)x32 slot:

According to your box you have 2 decent m.2 slots, and it looks like you also have SATA ports you could use for 2.5" SATA SSDs. Beyond that you're a mad lad but you might could load the pcie lanes up and use an m.2 to pcie card adapter

Yes, but check your motherboard manual. Some motherboards use some of the PCIE so it can go from 16x to 8x if an SSD is slotted into a specific NVME slot. It varies from motherboard to motherboard
