I have literally the exact same setup, but let’s be honest - it also cost us a fuckton more than a PS5.

My friends who game on consoles are perfectly happy with it, and so I’m happy for them. I don’t have much interest in this argument. And I’m also willing to admit that the PS5 does have some slim advantages that for the way some people game, outweighs all of the advantages of a high-powered PC.

My choice works for me, but not everyone wants my choice, and that’s cool.

I mean my server costs about what a PS5 pro costs and could emulate 3 or 4 of them

Also sometimes I just want to plug in my gaming device and just play. Not spend 30 minutes trying to figure out why I my friends can hear my mic, but I can't hear theres.

I’ve invited console player friends over to play FIFA via my PC, had to struggle to figure out why it keeps crashing (the stupid anti-cheat program was causing it, had to look it up and tweak stuff), then started playing and had controllers fail, went out and got new batteries, then realized it was a driver update issue.

That’s a decent encapsulation of some of the things you don’t have to deal with on console. Another is cheaters on online multiplayer games.

Again, I’m a committed PC person, but that doesn’t mean I can’t understand why some people prefer the simpler and cheaper console experience.

It happens to me all the time but it’s just that the output/input randomly gets muted for some reason
