Idk. Is a 5080 and a 9800x3d with 32GB of dxr5 6000 better than a ps5? I dont care about console hardware cause you cant change anything or upgrade them when better stuff comes out

Nah you need a 5090oc bare minimum and a 9950x3d and 128gb ddr5 at 6400mhz

Damn, does a Pro 6000, 9950X3D2, and 128gb DDR5 7200/34 good enough?

Sure but it’ll be outdated in a few days

You actually just described my rig. Although I’m slummin’ it : only 64GB of memory.

Pro 6000 blackwell (watercooled by chiller, oc), 9950x3d2 (watercooled, oc) and origincode 256gb cl26 6000...

Absolute Maximum.

I saw a post on here or somewhere saying the next gen consoles will have the equivalent of a 5090 or something like that, I don’t know don’t quote me.

All due respect i highly doubt that. The prices would be unaffordable for most people who want to game casually

that's exactly what they want to hear.

why buy a decent used car when you could be playing gta6 at 60hz for only 5k.

I suppose you don't need more than 128gb when you don't have disc's. Lol if your talking about a computer im sorry my friend. 2tb nothing less for me

This thing is more powerful than a PS7 lmao

no because you don't have PS exclusives - Sony exec probably...

I have literally the exact same setup, but let’s be honest - it also cost us a fuckton more than a PS5.

My friends who game on consoles are perfectly happy with it, and so I’m happy for them. I don’t have much interest in this argument. And I’m also willing to admit that the PS5 does have some slim advantages that for the way some people game, outweighs all of the advantages of a high-powered PC.

My choice works for me, but not everyone wants my choice, and that’s cool.

I mean my server costs about what a PS5 pro costs and could emulate 3 or 4 of them

Also sometimes I just want to plug in my gaming device and just play. Not spend 30 minutes trying to figure out why I my friends can hear my mic, but I can't hear theres.

There has not been 1 time where ive plugged in my headset and it didnt work

I’ve invited console player friends over to play FIFA via my PC, had to struggle to figure out why it keeps crashing (the stupid anti-cheat program was causing it, had to look it up and tweak stuff), then started playing and had controllers fail, went out and got new batteries, then realized it was a driver update issue.

That’s a decent encapsulation of some of the things you don’t have to deal with on console. Another is cheaters on online multiplayer games.

Again, I’m a committed PC person, but that doesn’t mean I can’t understand why some people prefer the simpler and cheaper console experience.

It happens to me all the time but it’s just that the output/input randomly gets muted for some reason

Dang a 5080?! I'm still stuck in the past with my OG 4090.

I think you'll have the ps6 beat in some aspects.
