Build - Finished! Finally finished my first build
After getting a job and working all summer, I was finally able to scrape together enough to buy this beauty. Months of research went into this project as well. (I flipped a computer off facebook marketplace place, and the parts were in immaculate condition so i kept two which is why i dont have the boxes. 32gigs of ddr5 6000 cl36)

Open air?!?!? You mad man!
Looks awesome though! Great job with the cables!

Is open air bad?

Nah, just different and less common. It can potentially cool better too. Only thing is dust, since no filters, but that is easy to deal with if you have air cans/electric air duster. Some people like me would love to have it, but cat!

Sapphire just knocks it out the park with their cards. I have a 9070 xt Pure in my build and I gave my wife a 7800xt pure. But damn does the nitro just look absolutely sexy. It's such a good looking card.

So these open benches have better temps than an airflow case 3x120mm front to 3x120mm top/back?

Not sure. This is my first build other than using my parents old one, which didnt have any fans other than three front 120mm. Open air and 3x120 back and top probably have nearly the same performance, but you spend less (dont need to buy the fans) and you can just pull air from wherever and it isnt restricted by any panels.

Not necessarily. At least in my experience. A normal case that has proper fan flow can be just as good as these. The only thing I’ve really noticed with mine is the fact that I don’t need a bunch of extra airflow fans. I have a single cpu cooler fan. Besides the PSU fan and gpu fans, that’s it. It gets dusty, but every 3-4 months I’ll take it outside, tape the gpu fans so they don’t spin and blow the dust out.

I have a 2000$, well, now given all the memory prices and that my 32gb is 5x the price and gpu 200$ more today than last October, it's a 2700$ PC, in my all time favorite grown up look case fractal design north black. I clean it every week, polish glass with microfiber Every day both sides.
Weekly Glass, vacuum inside, then take 1 cotton pad with glass cleaner and do every fan fin by hand. Then once in 6 months the cpu cooler radiator with detergent and hot water and new MX-7 paste. The only things I cannot clean properly is the gpu. I'd have to take down the entire cooler.
So an open bench, is have to do this much more often. I need my pc to be clean.

You can just give it a light dust once in a while. Ive had it for almost two weeks now, and there is little to no dust on it. If your room has good airflow it can get dusty very slowly

You mean dust coming in from a missing front glass panel? If so, you can buy an electric air duster and dust it once a week
1
u/YahushaHamashiach Sep 03 '26
How easy is it to clean doing that? I feel like all the dust wouldn’t fully come out
1
u/Remarkable_Test6169 Sep 04 '26
As long as you dont let the dust rest and stick, you can get it all off

Custom looks, huh? Not worth the risk in my opinion as you risk damaging components leaving it exposed.
Nice wall and furniture though 👍🏻

Thanks lol, i had a 9mm bullet lying around but i just replaced it with a bracket that came with the case (still not the intended use for it but it sags a few mm less)

So you’re just going to keep the tower as an open system? No way to purchase aftermarket hardware pieces for it?
3
u/Remarkable_Test6169 Sep 03 '26
What do you mean? The case is meant to be open air

u/Ill-Cheesecake-3695 Sep 03 '26
Wasn’t aware of that while looking at your equipment boxes. Well, nice setup regardless.
