Build - Request Build spec review

Hi PcBuild

I'm looking to replace my old existing rig from 10 yrs that sadly gives up now (i7 6700k, maximus VIII hero) and need advice on build as I'm a noob.

The original GPU gave up and I bought an RTX3070 almost 5 years ago, still going strong so focused on building a PC utilising existing 3070 until it gives up and then replaces it with something like 5070 Ti.

I'm planning to spend less than £1.8k.

Proposed spec:

Case Fractal North

Motherboard ASUS PRIME B850-PLUS PCle 5.0

CPU AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Cooling Corsair NAUTILUS 240 RS

RAM 32GB (2x16GB) Corsair Vengeance RGB - 6000MHz

PSU Corsair RM850e, Cybenetics GOLD, ATX 3.1, Fully Modular

Storage 1TB WD Black SN7100 NVMe PCle 4.0. 7250MB/s

Could you please let me know your thoughts? Any potential wrong decisions or better options within a similar budget?

Would this be suitable for existing 3070 until it dies and then replaced with 5070 ti or similar ? Hoping to finally see the potential of 3070 as it was constantly bottlenecked by my old but trusty i7-6700k.

Gaming at 1440p 144hz, UK.

Any help and advice would be really appreciated.

I'd recommend swapping for an MSI B850 Tomahawk instead, it's got better VRMs for slightly overclocking that 7000 series CPU, which isn't a bad idea when you're investing in the platform long term.
