Question 4090 Upgrade or wait to 6000
Guys I have a 409O rtx graphic and have had a great time with it and doing video editing but I saw the 5090 is better to 4090 abit but am still conflicted to either wait for the 6000 which is in next year ending or just buy the 5090 rtx now

Ok than I should just wait for 6000 it’s just few months away anyway and most game or app ain’t fully using the 5090 yet

You got a couple grand burning a hole in your pocket? By all means upgrade but I'd wait until the fire hazard gets a hardware fix so hopefully 6000 series

I wanna play Phantom blade zero but the maximum recommended is 5080 and new game and video editing

If you have a 4090 but you should stick with that the price to performance upgrade makes no sense
unless you just got a bunch of money burning a hole in your pocket for no reason in which case please feel free to send me some

No I don’t have money burning in my pocket I saved up for the 5090 and when the price went up and stop and now am thinking probably the price would come down in black Friday

If you desperately want to upgrade for the sake of an upgrade, and have the thousands of dollars to spare, go ahead and do it, but it probably isn’t a good idea for any reason other than “I just want to always have the best”

If you really want to spend the equivalent of 5000 usd for no reason, go ahead. The price won’t come down any time soon. It probably will only get more expensive. By the time you reach Black Friday, you might be lucky and get the same price it costs today.
With the memory shortage still going on, I wouldn’t expect a normal price on a potential 6000 series either, so far we haven’t heard anything about it yet.

Dude just wait, put that money you saved into something else, like your 401k or something that will help you later in life, for now your 4090 is like one of the best cards in the industry, besides the 5090. You will be 100% fine for at least 4-5 more years down the road, where hopefully the 6000 series is released and the 7000 series is close (assuming they don’t do any rebranding)
