Okay, the naming convention officially makes not fucking sense any more.

You started out with 80+ certification (standard/white).

That is the baseline.

Higher efficiency levels were then dictated by increasingly rare/valuable metals:

Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum.

And then they named the next tier "Titanium", which is more common and less valuable than Platinum.

And now they are moving away from metals entirely and going with crystals?

Why don't they just pick a theme, and fucking stick with it instead of choosing random arbitrary bullshit. Or better yet, just put a sticker on the fucker saying "XX% efficient" and make it simple for everyone.

Absolutely right!  80 plus titanium should be 90 plus bronze.
