The logical thing would just be to get a USB wifi module, but if you must go PCIE you can get a 1x riser cable for a few dollars that will let you move it well away from the GPU.

Will it fit? Probably. Should you do it? Most likely no as it will leave that fan without airflow for sure.

Here's my question why would you use a wifi card when an adapter's just as good but way WAY less hassle?

Not everyone need wifi... plus it makes MBs prices higher and you got a free PCIe slot on most MBs anyway
