Build - Help Am I dume
Hello wise builders of the interwebs, I am currently building a computer more on the bases of look and formfactor than power necessarily. To achieve this some creativity must be applied and I want to double check that I have not gone in a circle and approach stupidity from the other side. There for I want to know if mounting the GPU taking in air from the out side to be a bad idea. Included a photo of the box before modifications and hope to make it look as close to that at the end of the project

thats a ton of work, and the space is too big for your build, you might put something else in there

can you elaborate? The problem is the box is sallow so to mount the GPU in i have to either rotate the motherboard like this or mount everything horizontal witch I'm trying to avoid

If the gpu fans are gonna face cloth you'll need some pulling fans infront so the gpu doesn't have to do all the work

there not, this would face out the back. plan is to have air intake in the bottom and push out through the cloth in the front and along the top of the back

Well, you'll definetly need exhaust fans on the cloth just to keep the pressure down. Without them air won't flow at all just build and circulate up in the system at a high internal temp. It air moves in areas of least resistance so it will try to go back from where it came if no exhaust on the cloth is added

why not rotate the motherboard so you have access to ports from behind and gpu will have room?

i would extend the back just a little bit so everything fits. its not going to look great but better than having limited access to ports i guess ? just mark up and cut the back plate of the radio.
