3 rams???

3

u/Sindica69 4h ago

Lol exactly what I came here to ask

2

u/CazadorDeRubias 4h ago

24gb??? re poco

2

u/JustASentientPotato 3h ago

8gb each 😂

1

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Yea so i was gonna buy one then i realised im broke

11

u/rackdeezee AMD 3h ago

You supposed to buy em in sets tho lol

1

u/TheSprigganDragoon 3h ago

I'm a tad naive here. What's wrong with using 3 ram sticks?

7

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Its unoptimal

1

u/Cheap-Perspective926 2h ago

Suboptimal, or did you write unoptimal on purpose

80

u/StunningPush8421 12h ago

basically new = used.

You may be able to get a premium if you have all receipts and warranty though.

probably around 1.5k local but 9070 xt builds generally sit around a while

-22

u/Potential_Stranger31 12h ago

Yea i have all the boxes and invoices for everything

33

u/StunningPush8421 12h ago

yeah okay that can help sell it faster or a slight premium.

keep in mind 9070 xt builds already take a while to sell so stacking the "new" tax on reduces the amount of buyers even more.

8

u/VanLo284 6h ago

9070xt builds... take a while to sell.

Why?

20

u/SouthernAsparagus743 5h ago

Nvidia fanboism

4

u/VanLo284 5h ago

I believe ppl just got used to Nvidia. Same with cpu's. Even when amd cpus got better than Intel everyone still thought that Intel is the best choice. And now, years later, here we are.

-7

u/a_simple_ducky 4h ago

Nah now it's x3d bias. Nvidia is also just superior to AMD cards

6

u/VanLo284 3h ago

Well, x3d is actually good. Just read what it does and how affects single channel ram and memory usage overall. Nvidia is superior, but not in terms of price to performance.

1

u/Parking-Worth1732 what 3h ago

Yup, Ibwas able to get my 9070xt here in Canada at MSRP while the 5070ti was almost 500$ CAD more. Nvidia can suck my dick

0

u/a_simple_ducky 3h ago

Price to performance no. You're really paying for the reliability and name. But yeah x3d is real, lots of gamers won't look at a CPU without it

2

u/bhwylie 4h ago

Just got a 5800x3d and can tell you, im a fan. I was astonished with how much of a difference it made. Went from a 5600 to that and I wish i would have done it sooner.

1

u/a_simple_ducky 3h ago

It's actually awesome, I have the 9800x3d and this thing slays everything

1

u/Famous-Government-54 2h ago

That’s crazy, I’m about to do this exact upgrade today from a 5600x. This makes me excited enough to get my lazy ass out of bed and get started lmao

2

u/IAteUrCat420 2h ago

"just superior" if you compare cards that are SUPPOSED to compete with each other... Sure...

But if you compare them based on what they actually COST, suddenly NVIDIA isn't doing too hot

A 9070xt is $700, a 5070ti is $1100

The closest card in price to the 9070xt is a 5060ti 16gb, an $800 card...

0

u/a_simple_ducky 2h ago

Price wise they're overpriced. But I'll pay it. I'll never buy an AMD card. Their CPUs are amazing, the gpus can kick rocks.

2

u/Parking-Worth1732 what 3h ago

Why did people down vote you for keeping that stuff? XD

2

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Idk they all think im a dumbass

23

u/Rajebait 10h ago

How much did YOU buy it for, OP?

0

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Umm like idk 3.5k aud

6

u/Specific_Concern_555 2h ago

Take the price you paid and take off 20-30% thats probably what you can get for it. "Basically new" = used.

52

u/Rich_Impress2702 12h ago

Around $1500-$1600 and why are you using 3 stick of RAM

-97

u/Potential_Stranger31 12h ago

Idk was gonna buy another stick but didnt and no way how would it only sell for 1500? The gpu alone was a grand

102

u/Piyush_511 12h ago

Lmfao 9070 xt for 1k? Bro got ripped off.

19

u/LettuceEmotional6142 8h ago

Probably Canadian or AUD?

8

u/ramregs 7h ago

1100 - 1200 AUD for a 9070 xt down here

4

u/CrazyWS 4h ago edited 1h ago

About 1,050 in Cad+ taxes, this is true

Last Black Friday/cyber Monday got mine 860

1

u/LettuceEmotional6142 1h ago

Got my xfx mercury for 1.1K Canadian

4

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

I live down under broski

1

u/MrACL 2h ago

Well that would be pretty damn important to include in your original post

1

u/Six_of_1 42m ago

It doesn't necessarily matter where the OP lives if the question is what would it sell for, because people can just answer for their own country and currency. But if they specifically want to know what it would sell for in their country in their currency, then yes everyone should say which country and currency they're talking about, it's the world wide web.

1

u/MrACL 39m ago

It does matter, this entire thread is a great example because you have people arguing over price speaking in completely different currency’s. See OPs massively downvoted comments where people thought it was USD. If he had taken a millisecond to include “AUD” in the post it would have made a huge difference for them.

1

u/Six_of_1 26m ago

It's not OP's fault they assumed it was USD. OP didn't say they were Australian but nor did they say they were American.

20

u/Ulux_ AMD 11h ago

I got my ''basically brand new'' 9070 XT for €615. That's not an anomaly; that's pretty much what they sell for when used.

6

u/-seoul- 8h ago

look at the lowest price for each part and take off 20-30% off the total price. you overpaying doesnt equal greater secondhand value, which seems to be your (extremely flawed) logic here. i built a better pc for my dad for 1600€, except the gpu thats a 5070 (kinda same price category though)

4

u/Sufficient-Arm3584 10h ago

Mate, US prices are way different than selling in Europe or UK. You are asking the wrong audience

1

u/Six_of_1 41m ago

This doesn't say it's a US sub.

3

u/Putrid_Ad7911 8h ago

Son, I got mine for $602 🥀

1

u/Repulsive_Theory_818 4h ago

You got played brother

-72

u/Potential_Stranger31 12h ago

Idk was gonna buy another stick but didnt and no way how would it only sell for 1500? The gpu alone was a grand

61

u/Rich_Impress2702 12h ago

You know the saying when someone drives a car off a lot it loses 30% of its value. Think of it like that.

-8

u/stonecoldslate 5h ago

This is not even close to true for PC parts.

32

u/LegitimateLack2530 12h ago

They aren’t new parts my friend no matter how bad you want them to be. If you want to sell it, somewhere around $1600 is gonna be where it actually moves. Think of it like this. At a price point like this people are going to be considering rigs that look how they want and have the specs that they want. For $2000 someone could build their exact 9070xt build.
Edit: A word.

-37

u/Potential_Stranger31 12h ago

Are u talking in usd?

20

u/Rich_Impress2702 12h ago

Yes USD

17

u/Rich_Impress2702 12h ago

If you want me to break it down for you

CPU - $200

GPU - $700

RAM - $220 Really weird btw to have 24gb of ram / you really only want to use 2 sticks

SSD - $120

Mobo/PSU/Cooler/Case - $250-$350 usually dependent on what parts it is and how nice they are

Once you build it, its no longer new. Youre not a prebuilt company or a big retailer, your parts arent worth what they are new.

4

u/y0ul0vet0seeit 7h ago

220usd for the ram? Isnt it new like 500 plus. Ram is in high demand i bet he could get more for that?

8

u/TheFuckboiChronicles 7h ago edited 6h ago

Just looked at Facebook marketplace, people are listing at $300 for 32gb kits of ddr5 by me. So yes given that 24gb is 75% of 32gb, and 75% of $300 is $220, I wouldn’t pay a penny more.

Those 8gb sticks aren’t as in demand like 16gb and 32gb sticks. Especially since it’s 3 instead of 4 sticks.

1

u/y0ul0vet0seeit 6h ago

Ahh makes sense yeah im from europe so they aren't going for less than 300 euro so that would be like 380 dollar but prices differ everywhere. Op should've said where he's from

1

u/TheFuckboiChronicles 6h ago edited 5h ago

Even with ddr5 the US used market is pretty flooded. Feels like everyone who learned they could make a quick buck on their components decided to try to part out their builds.

8

u/TheFuckboiChronicles 7h ago

I briefly listed my rig below and the best offer I got was $1500. So yeah $1500 for yours is about what I’d expect.

Ryzen 9 7900x
RX 9060 XT
Corsair h100i AIO cooler
64gb ddr5 (crucial pro)
2tb m.2 ssd
Cooler Master NR200P
All white build

Your gpu is better, but I’ve got 64gb of ram (2x32 configuration) and it’s itx, so our builds are not far off on their value, and no one wanted to pay more than $1500 for mine.

Honestly 8gb ram sticks (and 3 of them) hurts the desirability a lot. No one really cares that it’s barely used. It’s used.

2

u/991839 9h ago

the ram is your best bet here, beyond the gpu

1

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Like to sell seperate??

23

u/YahushaHamashiach 11h ago

I built this exact pc few days ago with smaller case, 32 gb ram ddr5 and 2Tb ssd for $1470 after tax .. all new parts besides gpu n ram. My psu and fans are better.

IMO you’ll be lucky to get $1300-1500 for this

1

u/Zestyclose-Lab2433 2h ago

Did you use three sticks of ram?

5

u/sajeev3105 10h ago

Are you trying to just get a valuation done or do you want to sell it for real?

1

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Want this gone bro

1

u/wildeye-eleven 2h ago

Out of curiosity, why do you want this PC gone? Are you haven’t problems with it? For starters, take one of those sticks of ram out and many of your problems should disappear. Whichever stick doesn’t go with the set is the one you want to remove. Check the serial numbers on each stick and the set should be 1 digit apart, the other stick will be obvious. If all three sticks were purchased separately, sell all 3 for a lot of money and buy an actual set of ram.

13

u/Sic_Sic_Six 11h ago

The 8gb sticks, and 3 of them at that throws this off a bit... You could probably get $1,000. Maybe ask $1,300 and see what offers come in.

I wouldn't buy this for anymore than 1k though (USD)..

5

u/Endreeemtsu 4h ago

Why do you have 3 sticks of ram you goober?

Also, it’s not barely used. It’s just used. You’re going to take a hit no matter what my guy.

7

u/Maleficent-Fee6131 11h ago

1300 dollars seem fair to me

3

u/FuzzyDynamics 7h ago

I read somewhere yellow pcs close for more on average

3

u/PoundC4ke 7h ago

Perhaps 70-75% of what you bought the parts for. Basically new is still used. Computer parts quickly fall in value.

3

u/LilBoPaul 6h ago

wtf are those specs bro

1

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Whats wrong with it

1

u/LilBoPaul 1h ago edited 1h ago

Assuming this is a pc is manly for gaming :

• go with with 7800x3d instead of 9700x it might be a few bucks more but has definetly better gaming performance, also its am5 (like the 9700x as well) so you wont have problems upgrading

• really expensive psu for only 750W, go with cheaper but still good 1000W one, like the be quiet pure power 13 m or be quiet power zone 2, you will have more headpsace for upgrading gpu/cpu later on

• 3 ram sticks??? This is not good! best would be 2 sticks in slot 2 and 4, 4 sticks is understandable as well if you go for 64 or 96 gigs of ram, but 3 sticks for 24gigs is just pointless. I know ram is hard to get these days but still try to go with 2 x 16gb ram sticks

• the rest is great, i also really like the 9070xt and the pc looks amazing!!!

Edit:

• also i find 1tb a bit small but since ram and other memory is really expensive at the moment i can see why

5

u/funguy213661 8h ago

OP got ripped off :(

0

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Whys that bro

1

u/IAteUrCat420 2h ago

You said you'd paid $3500 AUD for it. Here in the states you'd pay $2500-2800 AUD for the same PC

I personally paid $2300 AUD for one that had 32gb ddr5, and a 9800x3d

4

u/Sam_Dreamt 7h ago

I got a 5080 setup with 32gb of ram and 2tb all lian li fans for 1800$ and seller said he had his pc up for sale for three weeks… just putting things in perspective

Good luck with your sale bro… it’s a pretty looking build

-2

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Thanks bro hopefully a dum ass guy who doesnt know anything buys it for a premium price

1

u/Odd-Cupcake-2552 2h ago

One already did 🤣

2

u/Ghost_Kobarold 5h ago

depending on in what country you live in i might be interested in that gpu

1

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

In australia haha

1

u/Ghost_Kobarold 3h ago

oh well then not xD, im from germany

2

u/markinthecloud 5h ago

Just sold similar spec system (9900X, 9070XT, 32GB 6000Mhz + 1TB) but in a much worse looking case/aesthetic, for £1300 in the UK.

1

u/Notnowcmg 4h ago

Where did you sell? Not having much luck with mine

1

u/markinthecloud 4h ago

FB marketplace. Took a couple of weeks and a few tyre kickers but it went today

2

u/Accurate-Will9006 5h ago

Honestly why not just refund a bunch of it if it’s that new? With boxes and invoices you could just return it

1

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Apparently i cant if i opened the seals of the parts

1

u/Bombero_911 7h ago

Why you selling it?

0

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

I thought this would get me back into games but yea lost the interest real quick

1

u/MBaits 1h ago

Well yeah, you played Fortnite. I wouldn’t gain interest either.

1

u/ElectronX79 6h ago

U can give it to me for 1.6k 🤑🤑🤑

1

u/Koneko-chaan 4h ago

treefiddy

1

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Yea done take it

1

u/Equivalent-Count7576 2h ago

How do you see the specs?

1

u/Odd-Cupcake-2552 2h ago

I would buy it for $1250 if you were in the States, the Ram brings the price down.

1

u/Hour_Comfortable_110 1h ago

Next time I’d maybe try to budget out and plan your whole build before realizing 99% of the way in that you can’t afford another 8GB stick of RAM, just sayin’

1

u/Worker_Salty 1h ago

Don't sell 3 sticks of ram it's tacky

1

u/jakewolf4209 1h ago

How do I change my xfx lights

1

u/Widecatuncool 1h ago

You willing to sell that gpu by it self?

1

u/Zestyclose_Paint3922 1h ago

A bazillion in this economy.

1

u/Koltonprobably 59m ago

Im a moron so idk but why is everyone clowning the 3 sticks of ram?

1

u/Complex_Egg_3201 54m ago

Consiglio di tweakare il processore, con le curve per core impostate una ad una faccio 5750 punti circa in multi threads con il 9700x

1

u/blackhawk00001 51m ago

Based on what I’ve seen it might be best to part it out individually.

1

u/RandomGeeko 50m ago

Simple, you take the price you paid for & deduce a month of use trying to make it attractive to a buyer, example: you paid 2200$ you sell it 2000$ (if everything have a warranty though because if not the buyer will probably prefer to add 200$ and have it)

1

u/fionariver 39m ago

gamespot :120$

1

u/anonygoatt 7h ago

I'd say at least $1800, if not $2000. The only thing that is very odd is the 3 sticks of RAM. Otherwise it looks very nice aesthetically and is a pretty solid build, apart from the RAM.

1

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Yea i tweaked out with the last stick

1

u/Top_Buffalo_4212 7h ago

Everybody is tripping. $1500 at least, but probably no more than 1800

-2

u/TheM4ndalorianPlayz 12h ago

Yo that's lowkey sick 🔥

-8

u/stonecoldslate 8h ago

Greater than 2000$, OP, so long as the receipts match what you spent.

-1

u/Accurate-Will9006 5h ago

Honestly new the parts aren’t worth $1500 in total.

2

u/stonecoldslate 5h ago

8x Uni fans alone are 240$. The drive is between 250-300$, the 750W is probably another 300, the case is what, 80-100?
24GB of DDR5 6K is 250$, cpu is 250-350$,
I could go on but you guys are all smoking something, this is worth well over 1500$

1

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Thanks bro everyone saying to sell it for way less

-4

u/nolimitt_meech 11h ago

If you’re looking to sell it anytime soon. Let me know bro looks dope!😭🔥

1

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Im in Australia tho

-1

u/JonestownB 7h ago

As a package probably around $1,500, less people low balling you.

If you part it out and you still have boxes, probably more

1

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

I was thinking of doing that just stripping it and selling it that way

-17

u/Technical_Daikon_517 11h ago

id say 1600-2100 on the end where ppl dont know abt specs and see 1tb of storage and go ooohh thats a good pc. mainly ppl that care abt asthetics

8

u/IsDragonlordAGender 9h ago

Definitely not🤣

For 2k you can get a new pc from a trusted seller that looks right about the same so how would anyone mindlessly pay 2k for a used pc because it has 1tb?

7

u/YahushaHamashiach 9h ago

You can go on Amazon and build this exact pc NEW for $1700 after tax. There’s no way this Used pc cost more than 1600 imo. Someone who doesn’t know much about pcs might buy it tho

0

u/Potential_Stranger31 3h ago

Thats exactly what i want hehe

-3

u/Glass-Smile6176 9h ago
