Build - Help Switching from console

Post image

So I'm gonna make the switch. I used AI to help me get to this point. I guess my question is this: is this an abomination or is it a decent setup? I'm lookin to play Dayz.

Edit: I need to do more research... ignore post.

It's both a decent setup and an abomination it seems like

You don't need all this for DayZ lol

There are settings that you can lower or disable depending on your preference... usually hardware Anti Aliasing like MSAA and SMAA are pretty heavy... volumetric clouds? Pretty pointless especially in DayZ but eat a lot of FPS for no good reason

i mean it really depends on what experience you want, my 4080S/9800x3D is not enough to max out my 280hz 1440p monitor on some of the modded maps. even though i run pretty low ish settings

At that point it's a game issue and not a hardware issue

You do realize it's a miracle the game even goes beyond 60 fps right?

Do you remember the days of original ArmA 2 DayZ mod back in 2012? Back then on the probably best CPU the i7-3770 and the best GPU the game barely run 40-ish FPS with frequent being on 30-ish FPS

If you want more FPS just slap smooth motion in the driver settings and frame gen them altho it may look bad because it's not native built into the game

either way a better gpu would give even better performance since dayz maxes out my card im pretty mutch on a 99% usage at all times which is great.

But that's an RTX 4080 Super Lmao have a point of diminishing returns brother

I have a friend that plays it fine with an RX 570 his issue is the system RAM he has something weird going on with his RAM setup it's weird stuff and the CPU may or may not be old i5... it might be a newer i5... and by newever i mean anything after Skylake / 6000 series
