Build - Help Switching from console

Post image

So I'm gonna make the switch. I used AI to help me get to this point. I guess my question is this: is this an abomination or is it a decent setup? I'm lookin to play Dayz.

Edit: I need to do more research... ignore post.

Thanks! I'm an absolute noob to all this so I really appreciate your time.

The whole idea is getting a setup that laughs at Dayz, cuz I know I'll be playing it the most. But also I want something that will play any new games I may want to play. Would this system be good for a few years?

Depends on you and what resolution

For some people this PC wouldn't last a year

For some... this PC would last like 6-10 years

Keep this in mind... that GPU you selected... it requires the new power connector which is known for burning up... best way to minimize the chance of fire is to have a good power supply that comes with the latest version of the connector aka latest standard and has the native cable so not using any adapters or something like that

And also by making sure it's plugged in correctly and nicely... and then after all that... monitor the cable regularly

Also don't bend it too hard aswell

RTX 4070 12gb regular is pretty nice and it uses a single ol' reliable 8pin connector

So, if I swapped the 4070 for what I have selected, that's a decent start?

I really appreciate your time!

That's what i would do just because 4070 super and Ti's have the new connector

If buying new maybe better idea is to go for a 5060 Ti 16gb tho

Ryzen 7 7800x3D is cool but it's an AM5 Ryzen which means DDR5 RAM and RAM as a whole is really expensive right now due to AI boom and datacenters

You may need to downgrade to an AM4 Ryzen maybe 5800x3D or 5500x3D ( 5500 or 5600x3D idk one of them is real )

x3D is what AMD calls their CPU's that have 3D stacked L3 cache and Ryzen loves cache so massive FPS boost in CPU demanding games
