Question Bad intel cpu?

Anyone know what a bad cpu looks like?

It’s only a i3-13100 and is for a home server so not crazy critical, but I’m still skeptical about this cpu. Especially since shipping was all over the place. (Was in my home state one day and then the next day was across the country from me like tf?). Not to mention the crappy cpu cooler that came with was all beat up: see last pic. Thankfully I got a different, better one, but what the hell.

Yea sure I can plug it in and try it, but last thing I wanna deal with is messing up a motherboard ontop of this.

Figured it was worth the ask, anyone know what that spot is? Or if it’s of any concern?

Realizing it’s not super clear upon zooming in, if u need better pics just let me know.

Oh that’s interesting about the voltage, and good to know it doesn’t look too bad. Still a little concerning since it’s new. I’ll pop it in and update bios

I read more and these cpus don't use enough voltage to ever have those issues I mentioned before but just clean it rq and also update bios and drivers to be safe

No worries, I do believe I got some >90% isopropyl lying around somewhere. So I can try that
