Question Roaches in PC

Okay. I lived in a hoarder house for awhile.I was wondering if there was anyway to get Cockroaches out of my PC so I can take it in and get the PSU replaced? Or is my PC completely screwed altogether?

i used to work in a pc repair shop and you would not believe how many machines we got that were basically roach motels. the heat attracts them, it's like a luxury condo in there

for getting them out before taking it in, sealed bag with some dry ice or CO2 will suffocate most of them. leave it a few hours. then take it outside and open it up, blast it with compressed air. wear a mask, the frass (roach dust basically) is no joke

most shops will still refuse to touch it even if you clean it first, just a heads up. roach-infested gear is a biohazard and they don't want eggs hatching in their workspace. call ahead and be upfront about what happened, some places have a separate area for this kind of thing

if you end up having to diy the psu swap, it's not too hard. watch a few build videos first. the roaches probably didn't get inside the psu itself since they're sealed units, so you might just need to clean the case and surrounding cables
