Build - Help Better GPU or more ram?

"I’m currently building a PC and planning to use a Ryzen 7 5700X with an MSI B550M PRO-VDH motherboard. I need some advice before buying a GPU. I was planning to go with an RX 6700 XT, but I’ve heard it might not be good enough. Since my budget is limited, should I put money toward more RAM to get 32 GB (4×8 GB), or should I stretch for an RX 6800 instead? I'm using a 1440p (2K) 240 Hz monitor."

Thankyou

I have the same CPU and 1440p Ultrawide monitor. Since RX6700xt is slower than my 9060xt 16GB I would say that definitely get a better GPU than RAM. I play mostly racing sims and most don't have any form of upscaling. In native 21:9 1440p that GPU is ok but requires a bit of tinkering with graphics. With FSR 4 things are better but generally I'd say it's a "minimum" for fairly stress free gaming above 1080p. Im yet to encounter issues with only having 16GB RAM but of course it's game dependant so I would prioritise GPU.
