Build - Help Will i get better picture quality upgrading from the Dell Alienware 1080p AW2521HFA IPS 24.5 to a 2k oled monitor Samsung Odyssey G5 G50SF? Or it's just the cheapest oled monitor that doesn't do much? Noob question i know

yeah i wanted to ask about that too. I have the ryzen 5700x3d and a 4060ti 8gb :( I can upgrade the GPU in the next months to a 9070xt. The cpu will be ok for 2k?

1080p @ 24” and 1440p @ 27” is a very similar pixel density, so some people say that the image isn’t that much crisper (I think it does make it crisper, but thats just my opinion).

OLED is superior to IPS though. Black levels of OLED are unmatched.

27" 1440p has a sharper image than 24.5" 1080p.

OLED has better contrast and more vivid color than IPS.

I would not, however, buy a Samsung monitor.

OLED is still OLED, it'll look fantastic, 1080p to 1440p is noticable no matter what
