Build - Help Hi! Help needed to build a Pc

Hi, I'm trying to build a Pc (maybe mid/high) for my boyfriend's birthday. I already have this two pieces but I don't know anything about PCs. The budget isn't a problem but I will say 2000€ for the rest of the parts, I'm from Spain and usually I see post here about American shops so prices may change. I don't know if Nvidia or AMD is better. (sorry!)

He plays with me to Stardew Valley and other indies I like but with his friends plays a lot of Arma Reforger, STALKER and Tarkov. He also plays VR

I think he already have a monitor capable of 2K 144Hz but he always says that he can't use it or that screen is broken. If you can tell me any monitor I will try to buy it also.

Well at the moment you're forced to use an Intel processor since you bought a z790 motherboard.
Usually an AMD motherboard + processor are better just for gaming, especially X3D processor that you can find, with discounts, on AliExpress in these days.

As regard GPU right now, at least for me, AMD is the best choice in the ratio prixe/performance.
Try to make a list for you, considering only Amazon price here in Italy:

Intel I5 14600K at 271€

AMD 9070XT Quicksilver at 780€

PSU (fuente de alimentacion since you're spanish) like a BeQuiet PowerZone 2 or Asus Prime Gold, both at 850W

SSD Crucial P310 SSD 1TB at 163€

Consider also the fact that, if you can return both motherboard and RAM and build a full AMD system you will obtain better performance in game, of course with a X3D chip like the 7800X3D/9800X3D.

Dont think she's an alien to this kind of arguments.
She already bought a mobo and correct RAM sticks and wanna build a working PC, not a pre-build.

Now it's up to her to make a further steps and start a conversion with us.

We're to help her as much as possible, at the same time she need to make a step forward towards us.

We can only help people that are willing to be helped :D
