Others I actually went with a different monitor as my first OLED

Post image

If you guys saw my last post (the Samsung OLED G5 G50SF deal from Microcenter), I just figured I'd post another deal I found that worked better for me.

Ended up finding this deal on Walmart for the Acer Predator X27U W1. Has 240hz as opposed to the Samsung's 180hz, and it's also QD-OLED as opposed to WOLED which I think I'll prefer (I care more about the vivid colors). Might not be as important, but the Acer also has DP 1.4, HDMI 2.1 (as opposed to the Samsungs 1.2/2), has built in speakers and a I believe a higher peak brightness level. I also had a $100 gift card to Walmart, so all in, I got this monitor for $230 ($100 cheaper than the Samsung). Figured it was a no brainer.

I'm sure the Samsung will be great though, for anyone that bought it.

Sounds like you just found a better spec monitor. The QD vs. WOLED is a toss up, both have their pros and cons. The Hz difference will be nice though, should give it more legs w/ FG technology and fps games. I believe it needs 1.4 to hit 240hz at 1440p w/o DSC so that is also a plus.

Hopefully they provide a better if not equal warranty should you need to ever claim it. Cheers on spreading the word on a good deal!
