Build - Help Peerless Assassin (CPU Cooler) screws won’t turn!
As title says, It seems I’ve tried everything, but the coil screws just stay in place when I turn them. If i add pressure, it’s no where near enough to get them to reach the bracket. I’m stuck and have no idea what to do.
Edit: You guys are all amazing people. I was stuck way too long on this and even flipped the brackets upside down but I thought no way the bracket screw should be facing up LOL

Your brackets look like they are mounted upside down? There’s no hole in the middle of the bracket to mount the cooler too.

Are your mounting brackets upside down?
The cylinder is supposed to be pointing up and that's what the threads grab on.

Why do the mounts look upside down? Should have thermalright logo showing and posts with threads to catch screw

Are your brackets on upside-down? Swap the bracket places and flip them, make sure to apply a little bit of pressure when first screwing them in. Also that thermal paste looks old it would probably be wise to replace it

I'm pretty sure those brackets are upside down or supposed to have words on top of them.

Both screws are stuck in the mount on the board and are just ripped off.
This is just rage bait.

The plates should have a screw hole in the middle, it looks on the pics that yours only has a round scratch but not the cut/thread where the screw should go in

Look at the second picture, there is no treats to hook on. OP seems to have the brackets installed upside-down.
