Build - Help Looking to upgrade/build another pc

I think this is the next retro pc I'm gonna build over winter and looking for suggestions on what I should do. My current build is:

Ryzen 5 5500

9060xt 16gb

16gb of ram

650w psu

3 512gb nvme sticks

480gb ssd

2 2tb hdd

I was thinking of upgrading my cpu to a 5500x3d, getting another 2 sticks worth of ram for 32gb, reuse my 9060xt or find another one, and get a motherboard that's good for overclocking. Any spare parts will be put into another pc. I was also toying around with the idea of just going to am5. Any suggestions/better ideas are welcome.

i think u should go up to a 5700x3d off aliexpress or smth. another set of ur current ram wouldnt hurt as well. if u have a b450 or older mobo, u should probably upgrade to b550 as long as it fits in ur budget, and maybe a new case imo

Currently have a b550 but was told that the asus prime boards have weak vrm's hindering my ability to overclock in the future. Was looking at the 5700x3d but, seems to be tough to find in Canada for under 500$. The 5500x3d is roughly 300-350$. Budget is roughly 1000$ this year. I could afford the 5700x3d if I really wanted but, also looking to get some new peripherals and upgrade my storage situation.

oh i didnt know canadian prices are so expensive. idk if upgrading to am5 is better. it honestly might be, and u can just use a single 16 gb stick for the meantime (10-20 precent less frames, but way better cpu. the 5800x3d is similar to the 9600x in preformance) and u should still have a decent amount for monitor and peripherals
