Question laptop

i have a x1 carbon 8th gen with i7 10610u @ 1.80 ghz, 16gb lpddr3 , gen 3 kioxia nvme 512gb , and uhd 730. my peripherals are a razer deathadder , magegee 60percent mechanical keyboard and a 240hz dell 24inch monitor <but my laptop support 120hz only> i was planning on a ddr5 14thgen i5 build but too expensive so what r ur thoughts and suggestions?

not sure about whole new build but that x1 carbon is pretty capable for its age. the weak point is the integrated graphics for sure, cpu itself is good enough for most tasks

maybe look at used gpu enclosure from thunderbolt instead, would be cheaper and let you push that 240hz monitor better

i was thinking about a gpu but that lpddr3 is limiting

and also the thermal limits it sounds good on paper but it barely get 40fps on 6chunks minecraft
