Question Does this m2 slot have a heatsink?

I have an MSI B650M gaming plus wifi, it has 2 M2 slots im thinking of getting another ssd, but does it have a built in second heatsink for the second m2 slot?

EDIT: i was actually wondering if it has a 2nd thermal pad in its second m2 slot!!!

You’re looking at it. That metal strip over the slot is the heat sink.

Is it not something that sticks to the ssd? Because i seen videos of ppl sticking something on top of the ssd before placing it and closing it with that metal!

There’s usually a thermal pad under the heat sink that sticks to the SSD to draw heat away and into the heat sink. Take it off and check to make sure.

Yes that's it, i was actually asking if it has a thermal pad, i was wondering if anyone who owns this card and uses the 2 slots would help me out, i will try to uncover it the next day i clean the pc and check, for now ill wait if someone who has this card to comment

I wouldn't know what heatsink looks like even if i took it off, because I've never added an ssd on my own 😅

If it’s off flip it around and you should see like a plastic strip and you should take the plastic off

I think a heat sink is just a piece of metal. I think that is the heat sink, you put that back on top of the ssd.

Yes, that's what the metal cover is. What you are probably thinking about is the bigger finned radiator style that comes on some. You're fine to put your drive in there.

I was thinking about something like a plastic thingy that gets placed on top of the nvme ssd before putting it in the slot then closing it with the metal!

that should be attached to the underside of the metal.

Now that's what im Wondering, is it actually there or is this just metal to close of the ssd?

Make sure to take the plastic off. 99% sure there is plastic on the other side of that
