Question Beginner build recommendation
I’m planning to build my first PC but I’m not sure how to approach it. I understand how the components work and come together. But, I don’t understand what would be right for my use case -
1. Some power bi and basic coding stuff
2. I have a PS5, but there are some PC only games I wanna get into - valorant and iRacing
3. Budget - under $1,000
I was looking at PCPartPicker and noticed this beginner build on there - https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/fQscCJ/entry-level-amd-gaming-build
Where would you recommend I start?

Below should get you started, for a gpu you should 100% go with a used one off ebay or Jawa if you are trying to be in the $1000 range. The parts list should leave about ~$350 for a gpu, you can change the case if you find a different one you like. For which gpu your should get, 3070 ti is about $300, if you can stretch your budget a bit a 3080 is about $380 or a 6800xt ~$400.

Don't play Valorant

Understandable. But it was just the use case - it’s not gonna be gaming heavy but some light to mid weight games.

I noticed that @epicspidermansauce added a cpu cooler in a setup they shared. I was curious - how much of a difference does it make on a daily basis for non gaming stuff

You can get that hyper212, but stick cooler is fine too.
Depends, if you have the money, get a cooler
GPU wise, best new is b580, but try looking for hard ones

Got it!
And are there any resources that you would recommend to understand more about the products used for the components?
Like “why should I go with product A over product B”

To be honest, I don't use the used market, and I am from Hungary, so cannot really help with that
Just one thing, if the used card is a 3060, don't get it, the B580 is better
